Randy had a chance to ride in Europe this summer. He joined a group that rode from Barcelona, Spain across the Pyrenees finishing in St. Jean-de-Luz, France. This 900 Kilometer trip spanned 6 days of riding and include many of the high passes seen during the Tour de France.

Again this year, Randy headed to Colorado to meet up with riders to support the Davis Phinney Foundation for Parkinson's Disease. Seeing Davis ride in the high altitude/3 pass event was a highlight, as Davis' progress is inspiring and he is steadily improving after the innovative deep brain stimulation therapy for his Parkinson's. Randy enjoyed the chance to catch up with him again as well as contribute to the cause. Randy also got a chance to enjoy the mountain riding of Colorado.

Randy joined the group in Spearfish, South Dakota for several days of work on the bike. Headed by Quarq founder, Jim Meyer and Peak Cycling's Hunter Allen the riders spent the days riding the beautiful hills and roads around Mount Rushmore National Monument and the Black Hills of South Dakota. FlyVAustralia team members Phil Zajicek, Ben Day, Nathan O'Neil and JR (Michael) Grabinger helped pace the riders and added to the fun and work!
