transpixel Taken at the halfway mark, Randy leads his group up the hill. Riding the first part of the ride with the "Pro riders" group, that included Ryder Hesjedal and Bobby Julich, Randy saw first hand out what makes
them so good. A pro race car driver can
make running a difficult track at speed
look effortless, and likewise these pro rider made
even the steepest hills look easy. They glided up hills and mountains and tirelessly pedaled the bike with a freshness that made it look simple.

Sometimes you just have to take a picture ......... because otherwise no one will believe you. This rider brought along a friend in her pack, a four-legged one. Her dog "rode" the whole 100-miles in her pack, with its goggles on, taking breaks at the rest areas for a trot around, some water, relief, and then onward. They both seemed to enjoy the ride and the trip!! transpixel
